What is lock snapping?
Breaking a euro cylinder at its weakest point to expose the cam that operates the lock. Once exposed, the mechanism can be turned with simple tools, without a key.
How do I know if my lock is anti-snap?
Look for a Kitemark and the TS 007 3-star marking on the cylinder face, or a SS312 Diamond mark. If there’s no marking, assume it isn’t. A free LockFit security check will tell you.
Will an anti-snap lock affect my insurance?
Insurers commonly name TS 007 3-star cylinders as the recognised way to protect multipoint locks against snapping. Check your policy schedule.
